Fishing at Teluk Bahang

Ah Lok, the pancing guru dated us fishing at Teluk Bahang during the weekend.

Wake up 7 in the morning, and meet up at Gurney tower for breakfast. First time trying Subway breakfast, the burger 卖相 not so good, but still taste nice.

Hubby driving and we reached Teluk Bahang around 10am... Ahhhhhhhhhhh...How can I forgot to bring my sun block, and it is damn hot outside. Luckily Ah Lok brought a very small bottle and he shared to me.

There is a long "bridge" to walk, until we reach the fishing place which is sheltered. The view is so nice and no one is there to share the place with us, just 3 of us. We can see a lot of fishing boats parking near there, and see the fisherman bathing on the fishing boat with only 三角裤. So funny!!

Ah Lok helped to get the fishing rod ready with sotong as bait, and set nicely waiting fishes to rise to bait.
It has been a hard time for first 1 1/2 hours, and we started to play "chor dai di" while waiting for fishes.

Finally, 11 something....We started to feel some movement on the fishing rod....and the hard time is over. However, 1st fish not eatable according to guru...Sigh++

And my bait is gone, but where's the fish....

Me, lonely waiting for fish to grab my bait.

But still we able to catch around 7 fishes "only" and a mini 濑尿虾 before we leave Teluk Bahang. Also caught a weird organism as shown in photo, we named it 海蜈蚣.

We fried everything we caught as our dinner. Yummy!!
And thanks Ah Lok to bring us there, a nice place for relaxing and photo shoot. But I got sun burned again because walking out from the shelter to take photos. The sun block not so effective.

The Beginner of DSLR

Started to play around with the brand new Canon 450d DSLR from hubby. Thanks for investing this new hobby and I know he likes it very much too. He feels glad whenever I am willing to spend time learning new things.

Has been very hardworking during the weekend to drive around and see which place is suitable for our first time shooting with the new DSLR. Hubby let me try out the new toy and he shoot with the S3IS semipro so that we can compare the different quality of photos between the two machines.

First time facing the difficulty to capture a proper photo with the manual setting. Wrong settings make the quality even worse than auto mode. And photography is not just taking photo with the correct mode, but also depends on angle of shooting, which I am still weak in this. Still a lot to learn , will spend more time attending photography sharing classes. We are so excited to explore this new hobby......

Just me and the new toy...

No Project Schedule Pressure

Heard that we are going to be really free after ramping down from the current project. First time since I joined Intel, what a good news to me.
It's time to think about what can be done during the few weeks/months without project schedule pressure.
Don't know since when, I have started to put down a lot of things that I used to do, non-stop working make everything else progress slower and finally stop doing it.

My plan.....
Taking one week off not doing anything but really rest at home. And arrange my to-do list below:

"Wash" my keyboard and dig out all my piano books, hubby gonna sell it away if I leave it there for another month...
Attending class on DSLR sharing...
Finish "Where do all the paperclips go" and "Letters to Sam"...
Finish "Hero" Season1 and Season2...
Back-up all my photos...
Plan for next year family trip...
Change hair style...
Date my girlfriends...

Hope to do at least the above few things during the few weeks/months free time.

A Day at IKEA

Went to Ikea during the weekend to window shop for my yet to be ready new house...Never feel boring to shop in Ikea, to see how interior designer mix and match the furnitures for a bedroom, kitchen, living room and etc...

An artistic painting captured from one of the room settings....so cute hor..
Another purpose to go there is to dine in the Ikea restaurant for the yummy Swedish food and relax with a cup of coffee...but not for this time!!

After finished the first floor, thought of having a nice dinner in Ikea restaurant and sipping a cup of coffee while planning what to buy. We swipe the Ikea friends card for the free coffee, and while walking to the restaurant entrance, feel weird to see a lot of prawns on others table and wondering why everybody eating prawns.

And we realized.....the entrance is closed. It is Buka Puasa time and the restaurant only offer Buka Puasa buffet dinner with rm15++ per head. So we decided to give it a try. Not bad lah, the food....but no coffee, so sad...

Need to put on a sticker
after paying for the buffet.

"I had Buka Puasa"....

Family Day Out

Taking Tuesday off for a longer holiday in KL. Went picnic with Damien's family at a park near Bukit Jalil, a nice place for family outing. Long time didn't go jogging already, it was a great morning, and so happy to spend time together at the park.

The kids are so excited with the so called "sut sut" and "kok kok meh" (kids' term) at the playground and we are busying taking care of them.

Xuan Xuan with the "sut sut" and Damien "bringing" her down from the top. And she says "我还要".

Damien's mum and sis prepare the food for picnic...sandwiches, nasi lemak and last but not least, my favourite coffee...
XuanXuan so happy and keep saying "我要去公园" after back home...cute lil' XuanXuan.
Take a family photo before leaving the park.
And the photo of the day.....
